"face to face" is an exemplary realisation of the concept my project partner and me developed within our bachelor thesis. It's a virtual exhibition, that shows a way to enable art museums to present their digitalized collections with added value for the on- and offline visitor. Curated from works of an art museum's digital collection (our example: Staatsgalerie Stuttgart) under a specific topic (faces) the exhibition provides the website visitor with knowledge and information about the artworks in an interactive and entertaining way. Beside the cultural education this leads to an interest in the original work – and thus in the museum.
